Taper bushings (inch and metric sizes) have a flanged design and feature a 4° taper with conventional or reverse mounting. They are stocked in popular finished bore sizes and minimum plain bore for custom reboring.
Use a tapered or QD bushing with sheaves, pulleys, sprockets and many other power transmission applications. Flanged quick-disconnect bushings feature a completely split design to help provide easy installation and disassembly. A tapered bushing with straight edges uses an internal screw to help drive the bushing into the shaft, while a split taper has a flange and a key on the bushing to help provide more drive.

Depending on the sheave size, they are made to use an E, F, J, or M QD bushing, which we also stock. Most of our ten-groove 5V QD sheaves are manufactured from a high-strength grade 35 cast iron, are phosphate-coated, and are painted for anti-corrosion. All of them are balanced at the factory for smooth machinery operation.
